The Extreme Railfan Redwood Empire Corporation (ERREC) is on a mission to save and preserve the historic Jane Marie lounge railcar, a piece of living railroad history. This beautiful railcar is not only a symbol of a bygone era, but it’s also a unique opportunity to educate and inspire railfans, historians, and the public about the rich history of American railroads.

Our Plans:
We are planning to head to Chandler, AZ next month to try and purchase the Jane Marie. This is a critical step in securing this historic railcar and bringing it back to Albuquerque. However, we cannot move forward without the necessary funds. If donations are not ready in time, we may have to wait until summer—but our goal is to have the Jane Marie in Albuquerque in time for the NMHR 4 and LERRO test run events. These events give the public a chance to experience the Jane Marie up close, witness railroad history in motion, and celebrate the dedication of the rail preservation community.
