"The Yellow Princess" ("La Princesse Jaune") was the first of Saint-Saëns operas. A love story set in Japan, it begins with the delightful Overture heard here. This performance comes from a splendid CBS LP of Overtures recorded in 1978 by Andre Kostelanetz and the Columbia Symphony Orchestra.
