Restoring my (Simon's) parents 50 year old Super 8 footage. It was such an amazing time reviewing this vintage film for the first time and putting it together as a surprise for their return home after months abroad due to Covid19.
The footage is is a snapshot of not only life with family, but it also explores their engagement, their wedding, their honeymoon and much more, a little time capsule brought into the 21st century.
The how?
All was filmed on the Voigtlander super 8 camera
Was projected on the original Kodak projector (Light globe still working)
Re filmed on the Nikon Z6 at 4K
Edited and cleaned up using FCPX
