This is an overview of 12 string guitars, my usage of them, and what they give the acoustic guitarist.
My thanks to Dave Palmer for posing the question initially!
So, the basic answer as to what music suits a 12 string, or vice versa, is thatwhilst they mostyl became popular when being played in Mexican folk styles, they were applied very notably to various styles of acoustic blues, and then picked up by the Folk singers of the '50s and '60s, and after then, used gainfully in most popular music genres.
