In April 2025 I was invited to visit the West Lancashire Light Railway by my good friend Stan Williams. The WLLR is a short 2ft gauge railway at Hesketh Bank, near Preston. They have a large and varied collection of locomotives and rolling stock, some of which are shown in a photo sequence in this video. I was offered a footplate trip on the Orenstein & Koppel 0-4-0 'Montalban', which came from Spain and has a number of non-standard features such as a steam brake.
