(39:30): Amtrak P186 arrives in Ashland with a Phase VI Charger, then Amtrak P125 arrives and departs with another Charger. Little did we know, that P186 would be held up here for longer than we anticipated (about 20 minutes). Saw the conductor walking up and down the train, we were all wondering what the hell was going on. Then two police officers showed up. Turns out they had to kick someone off the train (I don't know what for, but he wasn't arrested. I think they gave him a warning and turned him loose).

(48:03): The delayed Amtrak P138 arrives and departs Ashland with a P40DC leader. Sadly, this would be my last time to catch a P40 leading, as they were retired a month later.

(53:35): A CSX hi-rail truck passes the station, inspecting track.

(54:24): A rainbow appears over the horizon.

(54:41): A NB CSX manifest rolls through Ashland under cloudy skies with two YN3 AC4400CWs as it briefly races the hi-rail from earlier. He didn't have his headlight on for some reason. Train also had two Conrail boxcars in the consist. Oh yeah, engineer gave a SAAHC hornshow.
