rey & ben solo || gave you all

This video is a slightly different take on their dynamic then I usually do, but I really wanted to explore the essence of "I gave you all" not in the sense that Ben gave everything to Rey so that she could live, but more so that Rey and Ben together gave everything to the force and really received nothing but conflict in return. This video is meant to be a little angry and hopefully highlight some of the ugly things that came with them, as they were navigating having a connection in the force and being on opposite sides of a war, both with their respective traumas.

Both of them are being manipulated by external influences AND internally by the force. The force in this context is EXTREMELY parasitic and really just bent them to its will and left nothing for them in return (that could also be said for JJ but that's for another time).

This video has been in the works for about 4 months now and this is the fourth project file and second finished video for the song and concept. I honestly never thought I would get this finished, because if was just so absurdly difficult to bridge together 2 sections of the edit. In the end though I am really really happy with the finished project and am so happy to get this video up. That being said this will probably be one of my last Rey and Ben videos for a while, TROS really just ruined Star Wars for me and honestly made it really difficult to edit.
