A tragic incident linked to a family dispute has been reported from the Kundheigola area of Debagarh district. Dusmant Majhi and his wife Rinki allegedly consumed poison in a forest, leading to their deaths. The shocking incident came to light after it was found that the couple had also allegedly administered poison to their son.

Following the incident, the child was initially rescued and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The incident has raised serious questions about mental stress and family conflicts that push individuals towards such extreme decisions. Psychologists are sharing insights into why such a mindset develops during severe emotional distress.
