As an airline which collapsed and was placed into voluntary adminstration mid last year brought on by its underperforming short lived foray into the intercity capital city jet market the airline currently faces an uncertain future faced with crippling debt. Yet with its vast regional network which provides critical air links throughout regional and remote Australia many stakeholders such as the Australian Government consider this airline too important to fail and have even mooted the possibility of buying the airline if no buyer can be found.
