This week we slowed down quite a bit, spent several days on a free Aire in a village which had services, a Bakery and Pizza takeaway! It was nice to relax a bit. We spent a night in the woods too which was very noisy with Owls! We finished the week up stopping at Oradour-sur-Glame a village that was subject to a massacre by the Nazi forces in June 1944. Almost 700 people were killed and houses burnt. The decimated village stands today as a museum/memorial to remember those who were needlessly murdered that day. Its an eerie experience, but worth going to see. Unfortunately dogs aren’t welcome so Bailee stayed back in the van with Natasha, whilst I explored.
