This practice session goes back the lessons 7 and 8, where we were playing a progression of 3-note groups inside of the scales of C major, in the 5 positions of the CAGED.
Lesson 7: • Lesson 7 - TRIPLETS progression - part 1
Lesson 8: • Lesson 8 - TRIPLETS progression - part 2
In this video we are going to do the same exercise, but applied this time to the C MAJOR PENTATONIC SCALES, always in each one of the 5 patterns, which we have just studied in the previous lesson 5b: • Lesson 5b - Major PENTATONIC scales
PENTA: 5 notes... 5 boxes...
And 5 levels for this exercise:
1. Learn the progression, try it slowly, figure out the best fingerings. Play it with a pause between one group of 3 notes and the following one.
2. Remove the separation between the 3-note groups
3. Practice with me, on the video: SLOW METRONOME, 60 bpm
4. FASTER METRONOME: 90 bpm
5. We play the progression with the drums, using a jazz loop from DRUMGENIUS
Levels 4 and 5 are on the complete version of this video in the Pietro's guitar philosophy Patreon page:

This exercise may seem easy... but if you go through all of these 5 steps it's actually pretty hard, and a great workout.
Enjoy the session!
The app I'm using for the drums is called DRUMGENIUS.
