Simultaneous Equations 聯立方程 / Linear Equations in Two Unknowns 二元一次方程:
處理兩個代數, 方法有三:
1) By Substitution 代入法: 需要大家之前學過的技巧 change of subject 主項變換 來應付, 很着重格式, 所以比較多 steps
2) By Elimination 刪減法: 以小學都識的 直式算式 去處理, 極速刪減其中一個代數, 方便快捷, 如有入計數機程式 fx510fh program, 考試必用首選
3) By Graph 圖解: 同學在兩條方程裡, 每條方程各想出三組 x & y 作為座標上的三個點, 然後聯成一直線。之後就再要觀察有沒有相交點 Point of Intersection 存在, 因為每個相交點 Point of Intersection 就等於一個 解 Solution。這概念會延續到高 form 的其他課程的。

第七集《雙位數 2 digit number》
For a two-digit number, the sum of its digits is 9. When the digits are reversed, the number is increased by 9. Find the original two-digit number.
Let x be the tens digit
Let y be the unit digit
x + y = 9 ----- (1)
10y + x = 10x + y + 9 ----- (2)
From (1)
x + y = 9
x = 9 – y ----- (3)
Sub (3) into (2)
10y + 9 – y = 10(9 – y) + y + 9
9y + 9 = 90 – 10y + y + 9
9y + 9 = 99 – 9y
9y + 9y = 99 – 9
18y = 90
y = 5
Put y = 5 into (3)
x = 9 – 5
x = 4
Therefore, the two-digit number is 45.
