Snakes are cool, or so people tell me. I think they are cool, so I make one into a lamp/hanging lantern. I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted it to look, shape and pose, but I was not sure on the colors, or how to make the scales look...scaley. So I tried a new technique, well new to me, and I really like the effect. It is sort of a pointillism meets those dot mosaics that are all the rage now.
The color choices work fairly well, but I think there is some room for improvement, maybe plan them out a bit more in the future. I plan on making some more snake lanterns with more types of snakes and patterns of scales.
Next time we will be doing something different, but still the same.
