「~場合(ばあい)は」 which means “in case of…” or “if…” (hypothetical situations), and
「~のに」 which means “even though…” or “despite…” and expresses something unexpected or disappointing.

• 約束したのに、彼女は来ませんでした。
(She didn’t come, even though she promised.)
• 今日は日曜日なのに、働かなければなりません。
(Even though it’s Sunday, I have to work.)
