Most Flutists have played pieces by Ernesto Köhler (1849-1907), mainly the Etudes.
His Opus 93 is a great compendium of Basics, Etudes and Duets sectioned in so-called “Lektionen”, i. e. Lessons and therefore a must for every aspiring flutist.
In 2021, "The best Flute Duo ever" have recorded all 10 duets of Volume 1, trying to make these little musical gems sparkle in their uniqueness. Hence these should not only be considered as pedagogical repertoire.
