Women in India have often found, thrust upon themselves the burden of taking care of the household single-handedly , an image of a stay-at-home mother tending to her children on foot-and-hand has been enshrined for generations in our patriarchal society. Aashna talks about how her mother refused to tolerate the abuse any longer, broke away and toiled hard to earn a living for her two children. The engendered role of a woman's sphere of life being contained within the sphere of the household is a myth as Aashna explains how her mother's occupational involvements never hampered her growth as a child. She is a social media influencer, YouTuber. The vivacious and charming Ms.Hegde keeps her large family of over 5 lakh subscribers entertained and duly updated about her life and her little quirks. She draws inspiration from her mother, Ms. Pakkhi Hegde, also a famous actress and will discuss her experiences that she lived through which helped her flourish into the dazzling personality she is today.
