Modular Downtempo Session - Busy Circuits Akemie's Castle MUM ASQ-1 Ghost OP-1 Generation Loss

For this track, I aimed to generate the max amount of sounds I could from my ALM modular synth. I worked on this for a couple of weeks, trying to utilize every aspect of the system.

The OP-1 is controlling and clocking Pamela's Workout, which in turn is sending out CV to everything and triggering the ASQ-1.

Notes are being sent from the OP-1 to Akemie's Castle, and I'm using each oscillator as separate voices to create unique sounds by modifying the level and multiplier. Oscillator A creates the pad sound and goes into the Generation Loss for some tape goodness. Oscillator B is the lead sound and goes into a delay effect on the MFX to give it some width.

Each voice on the Tyso Daiko creates a unique sound with a sequence from the ASQ-1, adding arp sounds and background textures.

Bass comes from the MCO filtered through the MUM M8, and notes from the ASQ-1.

The drums are programmed on the OP-1, and the entire mix from the Teenage Engineering TX-6 is processed through the Ghost and PE-1 EQs for some color, saturation, and compression, with the bit and sample rates slightly reduced to give it some crunch.

My performance with the drums stinks, but I didn't have time to reshoot the entire thing, so there ya go. Ha! Hope you enjoy this one. Headphones on to hear the details.
