👥 “Insightful and invaluable.”
That’s how Renata Cressoni Gomes, RP, describes her experience working with psychiatrists through the Psychotherapy Matters Virtual Collaboration (PMVC) platform.
In an interview conducted by our co-op student, Nandini, last spring, Renata reflected on the profound value of being present during psychiatric consultations—not just as a therapist, but as a collaborator.
“Sometimes psychiatrists ask questions I haven’t even thought of yet. That’s always interesting for me—it's helped me better understand my clients and even led me to explore new trainings.”
As a psychoanalytically trained therapist, Renata shared how the collaborative nature of PMVC has strengthened her clinical insight, enhanced client care, and fostered a true team-based approach to mental health.
💬 “I always liked the clients I got from you… I’m generally happy with the experience so far.”
This is what collaboration looks like—and it’s why we believe therapists should always be part of the conversation.
