KHMER VOWELS- Dependent Vowels:
There are 23 Dependent Vowels. Each dependent vowel is pronounced after the consonant which appears above the consonant, below the consonant, to the left of the consonant, to the right of the consonant and around the consonant.
There are 2 different ways to pronounce Khmer Dependent Vowels.
When the vowels are pronounced with [a] Consonant Series: ក ខ ច ឆ ដ ឋ ណ ត ថ ប ផ ស ហ ឡ អ ,they are pronounced :
ា srak a
On the other hand, the vowels will change the sounds, when the vowels are pronounced with [o] Consonant Series : គ ឃ ង ជ ឈ ញ ឌ ឍ ទ ធ ន ព ភ ម យ រ ល វ, they will be pronounced :
ា srak ea
