Once considered nearly impossible in Nepal, flood forecasting is now a reality thanks to modern technology. Techpana visits the Flood Forecasting Section under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to understand how floods are predicted in Nepal. We also speak with the section head, Binod Parajuli, to explore how timely alerts are saving lives and reducing damage.
