”Hey Leroy…” is at #38 today and will peak at #36 next week. This will be Jimmy Castor’s last top 40 hit until “Troglodyte (Cave Man)”, by the Jimmy Castor Bunch, goes to #6 in 1972. Perhaps “Troglodyte…” or “The Bertha Butt Boogie (pt. 1)” (#16 in ’75) were 2 of the 500 or 600 songs he had written here in ’67?.....probably not. The song was also used in the 2013 movie “The Wolf of Wall Street”.
