In this lesson we take a look at our non-invasive forms of ventilation, specifically talking about CPAP vs BiPAP. I often find people don’t fully understand the difference between these two modes, but it's very important as they serve different roles for our patients.

In this lesson, I break down the differences between these two modes and some of the indications for each. I also discuss the different settings that you have available to you with each mode and draw some similarities that exist between the two.

Finally I finish things up talking about some things to be on a look our from that would give you an indication that our non-invasive ventilation is just not enough for our patient.

Hopefully after this lesson you will have a solid understanding of these two modes and be able to identify the key differences between each as well as why we might choose one over the other.
