Sector Zero rarely features serene and peaceful waters. East Arctic however is one such place. Multiple icebergs, some spanning deep below the surface, almost to the sea floor, are a home to one of the most majestic creatures on the planet - the Glow Whales. Although classified as leviathans, Glow Whales aren't aggressive to anything other than very small fish. During the day they swim towards the surface as they seek to breathe air, hunting shoals of fish along the way. During the night they descend towards the bottom emitting powerful bioluminescence in a variety of colors rarely seen in nature. They particularly enjoy human company and a warm touch which sparks a neon glow signaling powerful bond based on trust. Deeper below there are some predators, most notably Squid Sharks, which can easily be avoided as they are not close to any particular area of interest. Titan Holefish is another unique feature of East and West Arctic. They like to nest in the safety of hollow icebergs. Up above the surface, there are towering spikes of ice and rock in between you can enjoy the beautiful arctic sunsets. Should you turn your head to the clear night skies, you are welcomed by majestic northern lights. Weather however is not always welcoming and clear skies can easily host dangerous thunderstorms and hailstorms. Mercury during such periods drops really fast and hot coffee becomes your best friend. Flocks of nearby Pengwings can provide friendship and comfort even during such rough times. This place is ultimate sanctuary for all kinds of activities from inspiring research to meditation which is at all times accompanied by deep harmony of whale song.
