A new county-wide station alerting system for fire and medical calls went into service today! Here at #SVFireandMedical we staged this first test call to demonstrate what the crews will now see and hear when dispatched. The system is complete with maps, call information, a response timer, and automated dispatching, which saves valuable time compared to conveying the information over the radio. Crews get information in multiple ways, including via a smartphone app. This system greatly enhances fire and medical dispatch responses county-wide, and we’re thrilled to see it in action!
