Do you have a pile of old stained, torn, or otherwise unwearable clothing? What about a bin of small bits of random fabric off cuts from your last sewing project?
Fabric waste is a huge problem around the world. So much textile scrap and clothing goes into landfills (and worse!) every day. On a smaller, more personal scale as makers and sewists we also often end up with piles and bins of "waste" fabric and textiles.
My mission as a maker and textile artist is to save money, resources, materials and make art in a sustainable way. This project is a great way to do that.
Let's use some of them up today and make coiled baskets!
