On Sunday, February 23, 2025, I sprang out of bed at 4 AM, as per my usual routine, ready for a thrilling day of fishing at one of my favorite rock fishing spots in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico. This spot is no walk in the park; it's quite dangerous and requires a jungle hike followed by some easy bouldering. Safety first, so I always wear my climbing shoes when fishing on these rocks.

Armed with my trusty Daiwa shore combo and a dark-purple Yo-Zuri Twitch lure, I was ready for action. After just two casts, a monstrous sea creature hit my lure at the surface and dragged it back down in a flash. The battle that ensued was epic! The fish fought fiercely but soon tired and surrendered. I couldn't believe I had landed this sea monster! The stars truly aligned for me, making this dream catch a reality.
