On Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019 we went LIVE from Southern California with Matthew Brewer! We discussed Matt’s Alive Day and his journey of surviving cancer, overcoming addiction, the loss of his legs, and the turnaround that led him on a path of transformation to where he is today.
About Matthew: Matt lives in Huntington Beach, California and is a full-time bilateral above-knee prosthetic user. He has competed in several adaptive competitions, including the Stoke for Life Adaptive Surf Competition, Challenged Athletes Foundation Triathlon, and the Angel City Sports Games. Matt trains in the gym several days a week and also plays on the LA Kings Sled Hockey team. In his free time, Matt serves as a peer mentor to the limb loss and limb difference community and is deeply passionate about giving back and providing support to others as he has received throughout his life.
