Maple Verses Rosewood Guitar Fretboard shoot out

Which sounds better: maple or rosewood?
In this video I compare the wood by swapping necks on two Mexican Fender stratocasters.

Is maple better than rosewood? Or is rosewood better than maple?

The first strat is a 2019 Mex Strat HSS.
The second strat is a 1995 Mex Strat SSS.

There are a few slight differences between the guitars:
Old strat has slightly hotter pickups
New strat has better tuners
New strat has better bridge
New strat has a slightly nicer neck in terms of fretboard and frets
new strat has 3 ply scratch plate, whereas old strat has single ply scratch plate
But there really is not much to choose between these guitars

Both guitars were played into the Blackstar HT5-R, without changing the settings and DI'd.
