Welcome to this 33-minute guided self-Reiki practice for nervous system reset, rest, and regulation.
In this session, you’ll be gently guided through 11 traditional self-Reiki hand positions, each held for approximately 3 minutes, with soft bells to support transitions. This practice is offered without music, allowing your body, breath, and energy to settle naturally. You are welcome to listen to any music that feels supportive (I have some recommendations below!).
You’re invited to follow along with the hand placements, to simply lie back and receive, or to let this session play quietly in the background. Falling asleep during Reiki is normal and completely welcome.
🌿 About This Practice
This self-Reiki session is designed to support:
Nervous system regulation and downshifting
Deep rest and relaxation
Energetic clearing and balance
Emotional integration and grounding
Reconnection with your body’s innate wisdom
This practice can be returned to again and again—whether in the morning, before sleep, during times of stress or transition, or whenever you feel called to slow down and come back to center.
🛏 How to Prepare (Optional)
Find a comfortable, quiet place to lie down
Use pillows under your knees or head if helpful
Have a blanket or eye covering nearby (body temperature may drop during Reiki)
Set an intention, or simply arrive as you are
Add music, a candle, aromatherapy or anything else that helps you arrive
There is nothing you need to do perfectly. Your presence is enough and you cannot do it wrong.
⏱ Reiki Timer App (Optional)
I personally use the Reiki Timer with Pamela Miles app, which gently signals when it’s time to move to the next hand position without disrupting relaxation. You can choose the number of intervals and the time per interval, and there is beautiful music you can select as well.
