Vermont's Haskell Free Library and Opera House is located right on the border between Canada and the U.S. - Quebec and Vermont.
It's the only public building that straddles the U.S. - Canadian line. which makes it the only place you can check out a book, catch a show, and defect to a foreign country without ever leaving the building. The locals seem to peacefully coexist, as WILD TRAVELS host Will Clinger found out on a 2016 visit for the second season of the show.
