We use the Backbit ChipTesterPro to figure out what's going on with the C64/250425, and much more.

The struggle continues, even though this video can be watched separately, it might be better if you watch my previous struggles with this board first. (Link below) The 250425 board proves to have the worst PCB quality of every C64 board I have been working on, and that is quite a lot from 1985 up until today. The main hero of this episode is the Backbit Chip Tester Pro. I got this in the same lot as the rest of the C64 stuff I have been going through lately, and I have been wanting to test one for quite some time now. We also take on fixing broken pins in the joystick ports, and the quality of the PCB is fighting us all the time.
A Working C-64 is nice, but one in need of a repair saves the day. This lot with Commodore stuff that I bought a while back, has been sitting for some time. As usual I will try to describe my process for fault finding, and I test some diagnostic tools to see how they compare with the real world. This will be the fifth episode in a series of videos about the C64, but I will make episodes that can be watched separately. I did repairs on Commodore computers back in the day. I have kept both the knowledge and my original service binders. I have made several videos on the C64 before. I also have done one of YouTube’s most comprehensive guides on the C2N Datasette, and the PowerBricks and the internal power struggles of the C64. I have also done a series on the C128DCR’s and some general information about the 128. I will not leave links to the individual videos, I will just link the Commodore playlist. I also recommend the series where I build my own C64 from a reverse engineered 466 Board. I did not manage to use all spare parts from back in the day combined with off the shelf bread and butter parts, I was lacking a PAL VICII chip, otherwise no C64 was harmed during the construction. #commodore #c64 #ChipTesterPro
