Jiu-Jitsu is a popular martial art made even more popular by its relevancy in Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) circuits, especially in the UFC. Jiu-Jitsu is an art based heavily around grappling and is very similar to what you see in wrestling. Some communities of fighters indulge in what can be considered mixed grappling which includes pairing jiu-jitsu or any other grappling style with another grappling style for various reasons, though mostly for versatility. The reason for this is because in many debates on grappling vs striking when it comes to fighting. In a stand-up fight, a grappler stands very little chance if they can't get close to their opponent, and even less if they can't get them to the ground. Because Jiu-Jitsu has been refined over many many years and it's effectiveness when it comes to making an opponent submit or just restraining them, Jiu-jitsu has a firm place in almost every fighters toolkit and a respectful fear from those on the wrong end of it.
