Modal Analysis and the Effects of Free Vibration Using Ansys Discovery – Lesson 2, Part 1

In this video lesson, we will start by analyzing a bike crank model for its structural behavior. For this, we will first do a modal analysis of the bike crank to understand its natural frequencies and mode shapes. This helps to know if the natural frequencies are within the range of excitation frequencies or not. For modal analysis, we will start with assigning material to the bike crank and then fixing one end of the bike crank. Then we will analyze the results by checking the mode shapes.
