Am 18. August 2020 organisierte das Bayerische Eisebahnmuseum in Nördlingen einen besonderen Einsatz der Dampflokomotive 44 2546. Im Rahmen des Plandampfes übernahm sie die Schubleistung des 1580 t schweren Klinkerzug im Abschnitt Harburg - Aalen. Dabei wurde die Elektrolok der Baureihe 151 fast nur mitgeschoben, und so konnte man nochmal eine hart arbeitendende Güterzuglok der Baureihe 44 erleben.

On August 18, 2020, the Bavarian Railway Museum in Nördlingen organized a special operation of the steam locomotive 44 2546. As part of the plan steam, it took over the thrust of the 1580 t heavy brick train in the Harburg - Aalen section. The class 151 electric locomotive was almost only pushed along with it, so you could experience a hard-working class 44 freight locomotive again.
