The history of the Chote Sahibzaade is one of the greatest]]and most courageous chapters of Sikh history. This video by Punjab Siyan – Sikh History Channel brings forward a less-discussed and often ignored truth about what happened before Sirhind, starting from Sahedi (Kheri) village.

According to the writings of Dunna Singh Handuria, when Gangu took Mata Gujri Ji and the Chote Sahibzaade to his native village Sahedi, the villagers did not stand with truth. Instead of protecting Mata Ji and the Sahibzaade, the people of Sahedi asked them to leave the village, which later led to their arrest from Sahedi itself.

Dunna Singh Handuria further writes that two Masands named Dhuma and Darbari (not Gangu ) were involved in betraying Mata Gujri Ji and the Chote Sahibzaade. He clearly mentions that he himself was present with Mata Ji and the Sahibzaade during this journey, making this account extremely important and rare in Sikh historical literature.

After being arrested from Sahedi village, Mata Gujri Ji, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh were taken to Morinda Kotwali, and later transferred to Sirhind, where the Chote Sahibzaade were martyred for refusing to abandon their faith.
