For new foilists the challenges are many! Most significant of challenges is typically forming a strong and effective attack, and when one doesn't exist, the foilist feels lost. But this isn't all bad! Becoming aware of such a weakness and understanding how to use it against an opponent is fencing 101. Essentially, this consists of turning one's underdeveloped attack into a trap for setting up a more competent riposting action through the use of Second Intention.
