The Essex Witches Community Heritage Project is a six-month project created and led by our Black Dog Theatre Creation Colchester group. The project aims to explore the true stories of the Essex Witchcraft Trials and bring them to life through research and performance.
In this piece we recreate the story of Elizabeth Clarke who was one of the first women to be put on trial and executed by Matthew Hopkins in Chelmsford.
Retold by one of our members Ed Wilcox and written by Alfie James.
