Part 2: Brisbane to the Whitsundays – Carnival Encounter Cruise

It’s Day 2 of our very first cruise on Carnival Encounter — and our first full sea day at sea! 🌊🚢

We kicked things off with an indulgent breakfast before setting out to explore more of the ship. From checking out new corners of the decks to enjoying the sunshine, the whole day had that special “anything can happen” cruise feeling.

The pool deck soon came alive with music, dancing, and games, and we had a blast joining in the fun with our friends. 🏖️🎉 Nothing beats the energy of a cruise pool party when everyone’s relaxed and in holiday mode!

The highlight of the day was something really special — an exclusive food tasting with the Executive Chef Robert Dordas Jnr. 👨‍🍳🍴 He shared behind-the-scenes secrets from the ship’s kitchens and let us sample dishes you’d never usually get to try. It was such a unique experience, and definitely something we’ll never forget. Chef Dordas is the execurive chef responsible for All the food served on the Carnival Encounter: we really appreciate his valuable time and for his amazing food!

But the day didn’t stop there! In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Luke’s restaurant, followed by an incredible live show in the theatre. After that it was on to the bars for drinks, laughs, and more time with our friends — and we ended the night dancing to a live band. 🎶🍹💃

This really was the best day at sea — full of food, fun, friendship, and unforgettable moments. Cruising is proving to be so much more than we ever expected, and we can’t wait to share it all with you.
