This voicebank is a monopitch (C4) test voicebank made for the Hmong language. It was not voiced by a native speaker, so it may have some strange pronunciation or accent.
Lia comes with a usage reference and a Hmong CV phonemizer for OpenUtau, which should be able to convert words written in Hmong RPA into phonetics. Lia's samples/aliases are written in Hmong RPA because of the writing system being phonetic anyway, which may be a bit confusing to those who are unfamiliar with the Hmong RPA writing system, but the reference should be able to help!

This song is the first song that I ever tried covering with vocal synths! I was very inspired after seeing a VY1v4 cover of the song, which inspired me to continue trying to experiment with Hmong in Vocaloid, leading to my later "Daim Nplooj Ntoos" posts. "Mi Noog" is a very nostalgic song to my family and one that I immediately remembered upon hearing it! It was very nice to fully rediscover this song and finally be able to enjoy it entirely.

I am very happy about the creation of this voicebank! It was kind of hard to record and it is far from being a perfect voicebank, but I hope that it will be able to help with UTAU or other vocal synth development for this language. I made it as a combination of my love for my culture and my love for vocal synths, even though I still don't really speak Hmong very much...I'm learning! 😭🙏
