All the Turns – Barrel Roll variations (Intermediate/Advanced)

Want to really improve your dancing skills? Try our monthly Challenge class for Intermediate/Advanced dancers, and this month it was all about turns. We started with a Barrel Roll, then added an extra Inside Turn, then added an extra-extra free spin, then added and extra-extra-extra spin for the leads!
As with all turns, make sure you have your shoulders over your hips and keep your feet under you so that you can turn on a straight axis. Leaders, also be mindful of how dizzy your follow may get with these multiple turn combos - it's always good to turn your follow the other way after one of these sequences, or doing some linear moves like sugar pushes or pass bys to stop your follow getting too dizzy.
And remember, one turn is fun, two turns is still fun, but more than three you are starting to push the friendship - so look after your partner!
