Los Rios Rock School performs “Just A Girl” by No Doubt.

Featuring Maddie Montejano on lead vocals, Los Rios Rock School pays homage to one of the biggest bands to emerge from Orange County: No Doubt. Formed in Anaheim, California, No Doubt brought the ska-punk sound of OC to the global stage with their iconic Tragic Kingdom album.

“Just A Girl,” the first single from the album, catapulted No Doubt into the spotlight, marking the beginning of their incredible journey. By December 1996, Tragic Kingdom had reached number one, helping to define an entire era of ska.

Today, “Just A Girl” stands as a timeless anthem of female empowerment, and No Doubt’s influence on local musicians—including many of the teachers and students at Los Rios Rock School—remains undeniable.
