The NASCAR Xfinity Series saw multiple contenders rise in various ways. Several drivers managed to break through for the first win, including long-time part-time driver Ryan Truex, four-year veteran Riley Herbst, and rookies Sammy Smith and Chandler Smith. Other contenders proved themselves able to win week in and week out, including Justin Allgaier, who won 4 races, including 2 of the closest of all time, Austin Hill, who won 4 races, and John Hunter Nemechek, who won a season-high 7 races. Third-year driver Sam Mayer would break out in a big way, as he won his first 4 races, two of which launched him into the finale. Mayer, Allgaier, Nemechek, and Stewart-Haas's Cole Custer battled hard in Phoenix as the final 4, with the race coming down to an overtime finish.
