In this video I give some thoughts on what I believe is one of the more common reasons why some of the GM Ecotec engines fail, as well as some steps you can take to prevent these failures.
This applies to all naturally-aspirated 2.2L and 2.4L 4-cylinder GM Ecotec engines with the cartridge oil filter on the top. This motor is common in numerous Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Pontiac, and Saturn models.
