Talking Tom Cat (formerly known as Talking Tom in some regions) is the second relaunch of the original Talking Tom Cat, and an interaction-based video game developed by Outfit7. It was announced on the 3rd of July, 2025, and began to roll out on the 20th of August, 2025.

It was globally launched on the 19th of September 2025, for Android devices, and the 25th of September 2025, for iOS devices.

Trivia:

The relaunch features "modern gameplay enhancements".
In iOS, there is a record button. This does not exist on Android, unless the player has an older device, especially for older Samsung devices like the Galaxy S7.
Just like My Talking Tom Friends 2, it is also the first game to have updated shadows.
If the scratching animation is played twice, then Tom can scratch the letters F and U on the screen, and then pause before writing the letter N, making the word “FUN”. It's a reference to the teaser trailer of My Talking Tom as well as a scene from the Talking Tom and Friends episode Happy Town.
When Tom is using a jackhammer gadget, there is a reference to a Portal game that the player can find.
If Tom gets repeatedly gets punched in the head/stomach, one of the poke animations that can appear after Tom gets punched enough times involve Tom's model glitching out and turning into a T3 style for a second or few before turning back into his current style used for the app.
This game is clearly based on My Talking Tom 2. There's also the cotton candy feature, which uses almost the same animation.
When soft launch first began, Voices option was missing in version 5.0.0. It was re-added in version 5.0.2/5.0.3.
Tom's voice in this relaunch is similar to an adult Hank from the original My Talking Hank.
If Tom's tail is poked in this relaunch, Tom laughs, but in the original version and 2016 relaunch, he is shown angry.
While a watermelon is present in the 2025 relaunch, Tom tries to break it open rather than swallow it whole like in the 2016 relaunch.

Despite this relaunch being the second relaunch of the original Talking Tom Cat and not the first one, the changelog for the new release still mentioned the game as "Talking Tom Cat 2.0".
The app icon and screenshots were updated to the ones from this relaunch for everyone on Android slightly earlier than the relaunch's worldwide release. During this time, despite the change of the app icon and screenshots, the 2016 relaunch was installed instead of the 2025 one.

When the relaunch first became public, it used meme-like promotional images as placeholders.
They were later removed and replaced with images from the 2016 relaunch, but edited for the 2025 relaunch. The app's screenshots also featured Tom licking an ice cream and holding a watermelon in his mouth, both of which was not seen anywhere in the 2025 relaunch. These screenshots also got removed, however, likely to match the actual gameplay, notably with the watermelon.
At the beginning of the trailer, the beginning of the original version trailer is used.
The trailer contains an EAS tone.
