Sorry for the misunderstanding about the weapon with attack speed and Gabriel's Broken Wings at 11:58:
The attack speed buff from your weapon will not be converted into cast rate, because it’s applied directly to the weapon itself and therefore cannot be converted.
Items without “Attacks per Second” in their main stats are not affected (they can still have their attack speed converted into cast rate).
Make sure not to socket any attack speed gems into your weapon.
