Donald is one of Scotland’s best solo pipers, and among his many achievements he talks about winning a gold medal at the Northern Meeting, the world’s most prestigious annual piping event, as well as playing with Grade 1 pipe bands Scottish Power and Field Marshal Montgomery when they won at Cowal Highland Gathering. But we also know Donald as one of the pipers for our highland dancers over the Gathering weekend and Deryck asks him about how he goes about setting the beat for the dancer to perform to.
