Also known as the "Stamford to Sibson Line", "The Sibson Extension" and even the "Bread & Onion Line", the unique nature of this 8 mile branch line arises from its early closure in 1929 ..... long before Dr Beeching came along !
Despite having been closed for nearly 100 years, this old line that was built by the small Stamford & Essendine Railway Company and opened in 1867 still leaves a traceable imprint in the land today and it is that imprint that this video follows from Wansford through to Stamford.
