How to Die Less in EFT! | Four Movement Principles to Stay Alive Longer

Want to live longer and die less in Tarkov? In today’s video, we’ll be discussing four principles of movement that will help you to get better at EFT, reduce unnecessary deaths and better at the game overall.

Even for experienced players, it’s useful to go back and revise your base assumptions to decide if you are playing in the most effective and optimal way.

We start by discussing two interrelated principles, firstly always thinking “where is the cover” nearby as you move around the map, which will help prevent you getting surprised in a dangerous position. Secondly, planning a route from cover to cover should reduce the incidences of getting engaged on in the first place, either allowing you to gain the initiative or at least starting a fight on a fair footing.

Next we take a look at rear sightlines, which is especially important for solo players with no-one watching their back. Protecting your blindspot behind you can save you from unfortunate positioning of enemy players, which otherwise can lead to random deaths seemingly from no-where

Finally we take a look at the biggest killer of new players in EFT, which is running vs walking. This continues to be one of the main killers of even super experienced late game players, as running does give away an advantage to your opponents despite speeding up your raids - which is why long time players have a tendency to take less care and rush around and sometimes get picked off by a less experienced player with good positioning and a sound advantage.
