The NSCN-K Angmai-Mulatonu faction has issued a statement expressing support for the upcoming Pangsu Pass International Festival scheduled to be held from January 20 to 22, 2026, at Nampong in Arunachal Pradesh.
In its statement, the group highlighted the cultural and historical importance of the Pangsu Pass region and described the festival as a platform promoting unity and shared heritage among communities living along the Indo–Myanmar border.
However, the statement also included allegations against the NSCN-YA group, referring to disruptions of public events, a recent January 9 incident in the Pangsu area, and claims of 2 lakhs rs monetary demands made to PPIF festival organisers.
The NSCN-K Angmai-Mulatonu further stated that it remains committed to peace, development, and prosperity in Naga-inhabited regions on both sides of the international border.
