KALLAMITY Orbital SchnabelGun Type: "SCHNABELGEIST"

I took the chance of a technical article published in "IN COMBAT Vol.2", AMMO-MIG/THE WEATHERING MAGAZINE in 2017 (Thanks to Carlos Cuesta and Mig Jimenez for this opportunity) to document the build and the painting process of this project, which i had longtime in my head: an ORBITAL SCHNABELGUN!
General idea was to combine the design of the "SchnabelGun", a heavy Mech i made back in 2003 with Hajime Katoki's "Deep Striker" (Gundam Sentinel, 1987) and Hiroyuki Kitazume's "Alpha Azieru" (Char's Counter Attack, 1988), two of my favorite designs in Gundam Universe.
This project also allowed me to insert a new small side-story about an episode will happen in the future of Abakan 2288 art book (Design Studio Press publishing).
Basically this is a conversion for the Schnabel, built as one-of-a-kind model, made out of APOXIE, styrene and usual mixed plastic spare parts (or donor, as you like).
Since the purpose for this project was an article about painting and weathering techniques i put all my efforts and speed to finish the whole job in a couple of months of intense work.
This is actually the first project i did just after my Kave Revolution (see video    • Kallamity Kave Revolution 2016- Timelapse_   ) and i spent half-the time i would had spent in previous set-up.

This will open another series of videos, no idea how many there will be or when it'll be finished (i hope soon) but i hope you will enjoy first part for now!
